LRP As Your Producing Consultant
In addition to other services, Lauren Rayner Productions offers producing consultations for stage, film, and multi-media on a per-project basis. The difference between consulting and actual producing is that Lauren Rayner does not seek a producing credit for a project for which she only offers advice and suggestions. The only requirement is small acknowledgment of Lauren Rayner Productions in the program (or on the website) by name or logo.
Working with LRP, you are not only hiring a consultant, but getting into a mindset. And LRP’s mindset is a simple one: taking care of the team, will take care of the story. Executive Producer Lauren Rayner is passionate about the artists that she collaborates with and holds them to a high degree of professionalism and talent.
LRP seeks to take on projects that are adventurous, socially-provocative, and challenging. If you find yourself with a burgeoning idea or dream of a production, but no idea where to start, Lauren will guide you on your journey, and will probably learn a great deal from you along the way, too!
{ The Consultation }
Lauren will meet with you one-on-one or via phone to discuss becoming a consultant on your project. Expectations will be discussed and a full review of your project will take place after this intial conversation. Once both parties agree to work together, a fee basis will be established and a schedule of meetings and calls will be mutually agreed upon for the duration of your project.

{ Qualifications }
Lauren Rayner has been on the producing team for over 60 productions since 2004 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Applied Education in Theatre Arts from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. She also attended the British American Drama Academy in London and has completed numerous courses in grant-writing and fundraising at The Foundation Center in New York City. LRP Consulting Success Story:
{ January through August, 2012 } Producing Consultant for Brain Melt Consortium’s daring burlesque show DAUGHTERS OF LOT presented at the the FRIGID New York Festival in February 2012. Lauren advised the production’s team on PR and marketing tactics, invited industry professionals to attend, used personal connections to gain reviews, and attended various planning meetings and read-throughs as the project took shape.
The result? The play was extended by the Festival for a FRIGID Hangovers performance by the Artistic Director of HorseTrade Theater Company and was given positive reviews by every publication that saw the piece. The success and reaction to the production was so strong, that the writer and director decided to take the show on the road to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August 2012 and Lauren joined the team as a full-fledged producer of the piece. At the Fringe, the show played to sold-out houses and received many multiple-star reviews, including a 4-star review in The Scotsman. Well done, BrainMelt!
